On April 24, 2018, Vcanbio Cell & Gene Engineering Corp. Ltd (SHA:600645, Chinese name 中源协和细胞基因工程股份有限公司), a life sciences company whose “main business covers the whole industry chain of cell storage, genetic testing, in vitro diagnostic reagents, genes, proteins and antibodies,” (see Vcanbio website, Company Information web page, machine translation of Chinese language original), announced that it received clearance from CFIUS on April 20, 2018, concerning its indirect acquisition of OriGene Technologies, Inc., a gene-centric life science tools company.  (See Vcanbio Special Announcement No.: 2018-059, April, 24, 2018.)
