Congratulations to the National Association of Manufacturers’ Manufacturers’ Compliance Institute for the 2018 Corporate Counsel In-House Innovator Award!
In March 2016, our International Trade Practice began a partnership with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM)’s Manufacturers’ Center for Legal Action (MCLA) in an effort to provide NAM members with legal information on market entry formalities and global trade guidance, specifically focusing on four key areas: export controls, US and foreign customs compliance, US and EU sanctions, and export fundamentals. This is part of an effort for MCLA to expand its Manufacturers’ Compliance Institute (MCI) to include a global context.
Fast forward to today, we just learned the wonderful news that MCI will be honored by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) on October 25, 2018, and “will be recognized with a 2018 Corporate Counsel In-House Innovator Award, which honors in-house legal departments that develop innovative contributions for their organizations,” according to a NAM blog post.
We are delighted to be a part of MCI and to have contributed to helping the NAM and MCI achieve this significant milestone. We look forward to keep helping NAM members to navigate the complex universe of global trade compliance and market access issues.
